How to choose the right Physical Therapist
Many consumers of healthcare are very savvy to what Physical Therapists have to offer and others have never experienced PT before. For those who feel overwhelmed, please click on this link from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). We hope it helps you in your decision making process!
At Physical Therapy at Thrive, LLC you will only be treated by a licensed Physical Therapist. All of our therapists are members of the APTA and uphold the standards for evidence based therapy as well as the association’s Code of Ethics. The practice is owned by a Physical Therapist and there are no financial incentives for anyone who refers patients to us.
What to Expect
The Physical Therapist will assess your problem several ways. They will ask you a series of questions, discuss your goals for therapy and conduct a thorough physical examination. Many of our patients are surprised to find that we evaluate and treat areas of the body that they didn’t know were related to their problem. We are musculo-skeletal specialists who take your entire medical history, body type, posture and lifestyle into account. It is cliché but true, it is all connected!
Please wear loose comfortable clothing that easily exposes the area to be treated. Upon the first visit you will be asked to review our privacy policy, fill out forms and present your insurance information. We will provide you with an estimate of your financial responsibility at the initial visit.
